Bunny Camera Pouch

On Sunday, I started making a large purse with lots of pockets and I kept running into problems. I decided to abandon it for a day or so and make this instead. I've been wanting a new pouch for my camera. I just love how it turned out. There's also a little pocket inside to hold extra batteries.

Actually, I think looking up fabric stores to visit in Japan reminded me that I had this cute bunny print waiting to be used. I bought it a long time ago from one of my favorite Japanese Etsy sellers, Karaku.

I can not wait to see all the cuteness in Japan. I am bringing one extra bag (not huge) for fabric and am going to try to limit myself to that. We'll see how that turns out.

The pouch ended up being much bigger than my camera, but I'll use it for the time being and then maybe switch it over to a makeup bag. I knew it would be big, but I really wanted to use that red metal zipper. It's just so perfect. Either way will work.

We'll see how that purse turns out, though. Updates soon.

Back to School Pencil Pouch

Check out this cute little pencil pouch I made for Austen. Just in time for the new semester. This is the Japanese robot fabric (with green robots) that I only use on Austen items. Everybody else gets blue robots on a gray background.

This was my first time using a zipper. I think I understand how it could be done a little better next time.
