Zig Zag Baby Quilt

It's done.

The zig zag baby quilt (based off of the Purl Bee tutorial) is finished. Actually it's been done for a week, but the baby shower was this weekend, so it's safe to show it. Even though the mom knew about the quilt, I didn't want to ruin the whole thing.

We decided to use rainbow colors to be gender neutral. Once this little mystery baby is born, then we'll add a patch with a message from its mom and made by me.

The binding and back of the quilt are re-purposed sheets that I bought a long time ago. I've been using them on a lot of projects because I love the rainbow colors so much.

I also gave these Cheeky Monster baby booties by Little Odd Forest. Besides being adorable, the green gingham inside matched nicely with the quilt.

Oh, It's just beautiful! I'm still amazed that quilts can actually reach the completion stage :) Thanks for showing us your version of the ZZ quilt - I'm very inspired!!!

Sarah - I actually tweeted Little Odd Forest and told her that we need adult sizes. Hopefully she can find the non-slip fabric she needs to create them.

Susannah & Maura - Thank you so much! This quilt was so fast to make. I would recommend it to anyone. And their method makes working with triangles so much easier.
