Couch Quilt

Austen's Quilt

I finally finished Austen's couch quilt!

I like to use full uncut pieces of fabric for the couch quilt because the width is the perfect size for lounging. In theory it also allows one to make a quilt relatively quickly. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. It took quite some time to get it done because I worked on it around other projects. There was also my attempt to class it up with a scallop pattern, but that didn't work out.

I'm glad it's done. It will be very useful in this 6 degree weather. I've been using my own couch quilt every single day. I couldn't watch TV without it!

Have you considered a handmade version of "The Snuggie"? You know, for any important Meetings you may participate in?
